Cynthia was admitted to practice as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2001.

She has extensive experience in all aspects of family law practice including divorce, separation, jurisdiction issues, custody and disputes relating to children including removal of children from Hong Kong, financial arrangements for spouse and children and claims under the Guardianship of Minors Ordinance (Cap. 13). 

 

She also has expertise in pre and post nuptial agreements which involve high net worth individuals.

She is an Accredited Family Mediator of Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation and Association Limited (HKMAAL) and Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), and a Civil Celebrant of Marriages.

Apart from family law practice, Cynthia has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration cases including shareholder’s dispute, commercial contract disputes, enforcement of commercial agreements, judicial review cases, companies winding up and bankruptcy matters.

Futhermore, Cynthia has considerable experience in Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal cases.

Cynthia Yen is also instructed to act in respective of investigations and charges arising out of Independent Commission Against Corruption, Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong Police Force and other regulatory bodies in Hong Kong.
